The Shanghai Maglev runs between Pudong Airport Terminal 1 & 2 station and Longyang Road. At Longyang Road, transfer separately to Metro Lines 2, 7, 16 or 18 for other parts of Shanghai; the Maglev does not continue to the city centre or Hongqiao. Open the two-station line guide first, then check the current operating hours and ticket information with Shanghai Airport before relying on it for a flight.
The previous article relied on fixed times, intervals, speed and a fixed journey-time promise. This version keeps the route useful without treating a dated timetable as live information.
Use the Maglev only for the airport–Longyang Road segment. At Pudong Airport, follow the current terminal and ground-transport signs; at Longyang Road, follow the separate transfer signs for the metro or street exit.
Longyang Road connects the Maglev with Metro Lines 2, 7, 16 and 18. Choose the onward metro line from your actual hotel or attraction, and allow for walking between the separate Maglev and metro areas.
Operating hours, intervals, ticket sales and service notices can change. Use the Shanghai Airport page on the travel day and keep Metro Line 2 or an official airport taxi as a backup when the Maglev timing does not fit the flight.
