Travel Planning Tips

Avoid rush hours: Weekdays 7:00-9:00 AM and 5:00-7:00 PM. Beijing subway is extremely crowded during these times, especially at transfer stations like Xizhimen and Guomao.

Avoid Golden Weeks: Tourist attractions become extremely crowded and accommodation prices surge during Labor Day (around May 1) and National Day (around October 1) holidays. Plan your visit outside these periods.

Get a Beijing Transportation Card: Available at subway stations and convenience stores, it works for both subway and buses, saving you time from buying individual tickets and offering small discounts.

Prepare payment methods in advance: Download Alipay or WeChat and link your foreign credit card before arrival, as most places in Beijing no longer accept cash payments.

Book popular attractions in advance: The Forbidden City, Great Wall and other popular sites require advance online booking on official websites, especially during peak season when tickets are limited.
