1. Match the full station name on the ticket
Beijing South, Beijing West, Beijing North and Qinghe are separate stations. A booking that says Beijing is not enough for navigation, so check the exact station, train number and departure date in Railway 12306.
- Keep the Chinese station name visible for the driver, map app or station staff.
- Do not choose a station because it is closest to the city centre; choose the station on the ticket.
2. Allow for passport checks and security
Enter the correct station and follow the departure hall signs for your train. Passport checks, security, ticket verification and finding the waiting area take time that varies by station and travel day.
- Have the passport used for the booking and the train details ready before reaching the gate.

3. Plan the station-to-hotel or airport handoff
